  9.     As an environmental-science major, I was pleased by your
  10. coverage of modern zoos. It is wonderful to see wildlife at
  11. peace in natural habitats rather than neurotic and in cages. But
  12. people do not always appreciate open settings. At the Bronx Zoo,
  13. I have seen visitors threaten the well-being of the animals.
  14. Many expect to be entertained by them rather than to learn from
  15. them.
